to answer Your Lordship in, but to inform
Your Lordship of my inclination to re-
turn for England, or Venice,
at the conclusion of my employment
at Turin, which I must refer chief-
ly to the liking and satisfaction of
His Majesty, and Your Lordship's advice.
But to deliver my opinion, which I
hold to be grounded upon good
reasons, I shall neither think my
honour, and advantage far greater
in continuing in the King's service
than living idly without employ-
ment, in hope of matching [i.e. marrying] myself
into some family, and for an indifferent
estate divert the course of my for-
tunes, and the enabling myself for
my Master's service. I have several
other reasons, which I have not time to
offer unto Your Lordship, though whatso-
ever my interests are, which I shall
make known unto Your Lordship here
after, I shall not
value them, where I may encounter
His Majesty's service, and [conter...]

Lordship the assurance of the infinite
desire I have to make myself ap-
pear
