The view represents on the left a mass of rocks, the summits of which are clothed with trees. A shallow stream extends along the foreground, throngh which are passing two oxen, an ass laden with linen and cloth, a goat and two sheep ; these are followed by a herdsman and a woman with a child at her back, and preceded at some distance by a man driving a flock of sheep and goats along a winding road, in advance of which is a man on an ass.
